Submitting Tax Exemption Documentation

If your business has tax-exempt status, follow these steps to ensure your exemption is properly applied to your VendHub orders:

  1. Prepare your documentation

    • Ensure you have a valid tax exemption certificate for your state

    • Make sure the document is clearly legible

    • Verify that all information is current and accurate

  2. Access the Address section

    • Log into your VendHub account

    • Navigate to the menu overflow in your account

    • Select the Address section

  3. Upload your documentation

    • In the Address section, locate the tax exemption upload area

    • Upload your tax exemption certificate

    • Submit the form

  4. Processing timeline

    • Tax exemption documentation typically takes 5-7 business days to process

    • VendHub administrators will review your submission

    • You will be notified when your exemption status is approved

Important Notes

  • Submit through VendHub only: Do not send tax exemption documents directly to Vistar

  • Always through VendHub: Tax form handling is ALWAYS handled through VendHub and NEVER through Vistar

  • Verification required: Your tax exemption must be verified before it can be applied to orders

  • Questions or issues: For questions about your tax exemption status, contact [email protected]

Common Tax Exemption Questions

Q: I already submitted my tax exemption to Vistar. Do I need to submit it to VendHub too?
A: Yes. All tax exemption forms need to be submitted through VendHub, even if you previously submitted them to Vistar directly.

Q: How do I know if my tax exemption has been applied?
A: Once your exemption is verified, applicable taxes will be removed from your orders. You can check your order summary before finalizing to confirm the exemption has been applied.

Q: My tax exemption is expiring soon. How do I update it?
A: Submit your new tax exemption documentation through the Address section following the same process. Be sure to submit before the current one expires to avoid interruption.
