VendScout credits are not the same as VendHub credits, and they do not transfer between the two. VendHub credits are used for marketplace and equipment purchases; VendScout credits are used only for AI-powered scouting actions.
In practice, credits are spent on just three things — adding/enriching a location and generating a mockup — and almost everything else is included. Browsing your search results is intentionally free.

New accounts start with 50 free credits to test the system. Members with an active annual membership / coaching tier were given a much larger allotment (around 1,000 credits at the time of these sessions; the exact number varies by tier). Credits roll over month to month and do not expire, and Pro and Scale plans can purchase additional credits from Settings → View Usage Limits.
Caps, packs & auto-refill
A live ledger shows every credit used and added, each with a reason and timestamp, and a daily cap prevents accidental runaway spending. You can buy add-on credit packs anytime and optionally auto-refill when you hit zero.
Heads-up on the AI Voice agent
If you use the AI Voice calling agent, calls are metered by the minute (noted in-app at roughly a couple of credits per minute) and come with their own spend limits. Because Voice pricing and credit costs were still settling, confirm the live rate on the Voice page before running a big campaign.
